Here in the 2XW, we try not to forget where we came from. It is only in remembering our past, that we can expect a brighter future. What that future holds, only time will truly tell, but our past can be seen by any. Some of us have been together from the beginning. Some of us are new to our little corner of the world, and have never heard the names JT Fringe or Rick Jackson before. This is where our history lives. The births, deaths, and rebirths of many federations. The trail of laughter and tears that have brought us to where we are today. This is our story. A Brief History of the 2XW Our roots can be traced back to the original incarnation of the Canuck Heat Zone(CHZ). Headed by Steve Jamieson, and fronted by some of the biggest and brightest stars the world has ever seen, the CHZ was on a rocket train to the top. The CHZ had drawing power like no other fed of that time. Big name stars like JT Fringe, Rick Jackson, Jaguar-F, and Big Fo rocked every arena they competed in to the ground. As the crowds grew, the CHZ attracted a lot of attention. With his main event superstars in place, Jamieson turned to his lower card wrestlers, and began pushing them to the moon. Whether it was through good recruiting and training, or brilliant management, Jamieson and the CHZ ushered in a class of rookies the likes of which have never been seen again. He had discovered three of the biggest stars that the wrestling world would ever know, Thor, Devastation, and The Count. But the CHZ ran in to hard times. Money was short, tempers were flaring. In a move that shocked the wrestling world, the CHZ shut it's doors. The CHZ superstars were scattered all over the world. Two men stepped forward to try to regain control of the situation. Rick Gareadts and JT Campbell put their heads together and brought the CHZ back together, under the Fire Wrestling Federation(FWF). Soon the FWF was blossoming. It seemed to grow by leaps and bounds every day. The CHZ rookies had established themselves as legitimate stars in their own right, and were set to take the world by storm. But the FWF also ran in to problems. However, a former CHZ wrestler by the name of Shawn Smith, had begun piecing together his own organization, the SWF. As the mighty FWF began to collapse, Smith began bringing in members of the FWF to bolster the SWF. Soon the entire FWF organization had been engulfed by the SWF. The SWF thrived, turning midcarders such as Staz, Rage, and Devastation in to mega stars. The SWF was on top of the world, their roster was continually growing, when a freak accident with their television provider, Tripod, forced them to temporarily shut down. The SWF tried to rebound, but the crash proved to much. In the end, it was Mr. CHZ Steve Jamieson who was there to pick up the pieces. Kepping the group together was important. But Jamieson also threw some new blood in to the mix with the additions of Matt Helms, Brent Brewer, and Keyser Soze. It was also in the new CHZ, that athletes such as Don and Darryl Rossi finally started to recieve their breaks. Despite moving from station to station, the CHZ was finally back, and poised to stand atop the world once more. However, the CHZ fell apart once again. As it collapsed Billy Boswell, Shawn Smith, and Don Rossi opened the MSWA, or as it's now called the 2XW. Now we stand at the start of a new and glorious chapter, in our history. |
